Hot enough for you?

Yesterday it was a scorcher in Melbourne. Try 34 degrees at 9.30pm! No sleeping gonna happen there. Luckily my sis got me this cute dress for Christmas - Perfect for a hot summer's night.

I am finishing work today , just until the 29th but I am finally feeling a little excited about this festive season (well mostly about not being at work) - up until now I have been a little bar humbug - lets hope some spirit remains at least until the 25th.

Presents galore

Finally I own a flower ring (like my bestie). My 2nd boss gave it to me today for Christmas- nice to see she has noticed my style. My running friend at work gave me a pair of sports socks- very thoughtful I thought. The cards and chocs are starting to filter in. Lucky me!

Christmas Angel

This is my little angel top - it has little ruffles on the sleeves, very sweet and as newish it is still a crisp white. Perfect for the Monday before Christmas.

Oh Christmas

Ok, so my Summer of no chocolate has not really gone to plan, dumb time of the year to be trying but I am back on board as of yesterday and then some lovely young Doctor decides I need a lindt reindeer as a reward for a great years assistance. Thanks to the young Dr, thoughtful but now I have this glittery,cute, sparkly packaged item staring at me on my desk, just willing me to eat it.... I won't I promise. I am going to have to give it away very soon.

Christmas in the workplace

Part of my role is to get the Chrissy pressies for different staff around the place. Depending on who you are determines what you get. Some get wine...

Some get hampers...

but I make sure that I get the best gift of all. I even wrap it for myself. Lucky me. My boss is a dream.

Bake down....

The bake off started well on saturday - ingredients were brought and expectations were high. After 20 minutes the fun was all over - I decided I did not like baking anymore and that was inconvenient as I had just started.

A bench that showed I meant business.

Melting moments which I was told were very sweet - I am taking that as a compliment as biscuits are meant to be sweet right?


The final products, warpped and ready to go. As much as I decided I did not like to bake it was worth the effort - I have already given a few of the gifts away and the recipients were so grateful.
I ended up making melting moments, gingerbread covererd in white/dark choc, heart shape shortbread with cranberry and almonds covered in white choc and Jam centered shortbread biscuits.
Still got to tackle the macaroons - just seemed too hard on the day. If I ever bake again it will be one thing at a time.

Bake Off

I am off to be daughter of the year and spend some time with my mum, we are doing some christmas baking and I am going to attempt some macaroons (french style). They look so amazing.... will keep you posted with the outcome - hopefully they will look as gorgewa as the ones in this snap. xoxo

Oh happy days

This is a picture of me that I keep on my phone (loving myself sic) as it was taken on a special day when I was out with my 2 besties. I love my besties and I am so thankful to have them in my life. They are a married couple who I get very different things from but together they are the complete package who make my life a much better place. A happy snap moment.
